A cobertura do templo exibe ameias trabalhadas e gárgulas, características do ecletismo romântico.

Quinta da Regaleira, located on the outskirts of Sintra’s historic center and part of the Cultural Landscape designated by UNESCO in 1995, was acquired in 1893 by António Augusto Carvalho Monteiro. He commissioned the Italian architect and set designer Luigi Manini to design the complex, which was built between 1904 and 1910. In this elevated view, the tower of the Chapel of the Holy Trinity stands out in the foreground; a prime example of the Neo-Manueline revival style, it is lavishly ornamented with pinnacles, limestone tracery, and Christian iconography. The chapel’s roof features intricate battlements and gargoyles, characteristic of Romantic eclecticism. In the background, on the right, the façade of the Regaleira Palace can be glimpsed, blending Manueline, Gothic, and Renaissance styles. The gardens, laid out on the slopes of the Serra de Sintra, combine exotic and native species, reflecting the symbolic and initiatory program that Carvalho Monteiro associated with Freemasonry, alchemy, and the Knights Templar, lending the space a conceptual and mystical depth that is unique within the national architectural landscape.
