Esplendor Ligure: A Igreja Divo Martino entre Frescos e Mármores
O interior da Igreja de São Martinho, em Portofino, revela a configuração típica de uma paróquia costeira da Ligúria, com nave longitudinal e capelas laterais abertas por arcadas. De origem medieval, o edifício foi reformulado entre os séculos XVII e XVIII, quando recebeu decoração barroca: estuques moldados, cornijas douradas e um programa de pintura mural na abóbada de berço com lunetas, onde se figuram episódios hagiográficos e santos. As colunas em mármore, com capitéis ornamentados, ritmam a nave e conduzem ao presbitério elevado. O pavimento geométrico, em losangos bicolores, reforça a orientação axial para o altar-mor, onde se dispõe um crucifixo central, um retábulo estruturado e painéis pintados. Candelabros suspensos e iluminação lateral completam a leitura litúrgica e cerimonial do espaço.
The interior of the Church of San Martino in Portofino reflects the typical layout of a coastal parish church in Liguria, with a longitudinal nave and side chapels accessed through arcades. Of medieval origin, the building was remodeled between the 17th and 18th centuries, when it was adorned with Baroque decorations: molded stucco, gilded cornices, and a series of murals on the barrel vault with lunettes, depicting hagiographic episodes and saints. The marble columns, with ornate capitals, give rhythm to the nave and lead to the elevated presbytery. The geometric floor, featuring two-tone lozenges, reinforces the axial orientation toward the high altar, where a central crucifix, a structured altarpiece, and painted panels are arranged. Suspended chandeliers and side lighting complete the liturgical and ceremonial interpretation of the space.
