Marce no caminho da Augacaída
A aldeia de Marce situa-se no concelho de Pantón, na Ribeira Sacra lucense, uma comarca definida pela confluência dos rios Miño e Sil e por uma paisagem de socalcos vitivinícolas frequentemente associada à candidatura a Património Mundial da UNESCO. As construções visíveis exemplificam a arquitetura popular galega, com muros erguidos em xisto e lousa extraídos localmente, assentados a seco ou com argamassa de cal, e coberturas tradicionais em telha cerâmica. As ruelas estreitas e sinuosas, moldadas pela topografia acidentada, refletem uma matriz medieval de povoamento, em que as habitações se agrupavam compactamente para aproveitar o terreno agrícola circundante. Marce é ainda ponto de passagem no trilho pedestre que conduz à Fervenza de Augacaída, uma queda de água com cerca de 40 metros, formada pelo rego de Fondos de Vila, num vale de encostas graníticas cobertas de carvalhos autóctones. Nas imediações encontra-se também uma mamoa neolítica, testemunho da ocupação humana milenar deste território.
The village of Marce is located in the municipality of Pantón, in the Ribeira Sacra region of Lugo, an area defined by the confluence of the Miño and Sil rivers and by a landscape of terraced vineyards often associated with the UNESCO World Heritage nomination. The visible buildings exemplify traditional Galician architecture, with walls built of locally quarried schist and slate, laid using dry-stone or lime mortar, and traditional ceramic-tile roofs. The narrow, winding alleys, shaped by the rugged topography, reflect a medieval settlement pattern, in which dwellings were clustered closely together to make the most of the surrounding farmland. Marce is also a stop along the hiking trail leading to the Fervenza de Augacaída, a waterfall approximately 40 meters high, formed by the Fondos de Vila stream in a valley of granite slopes covered with native oak trees. Nearby is also a Neolithic burial mound, evidence of millennia of human occupation in this area.
