The Fafião Viewpoint, located in the village of the same name in the parish of Cabril, Montalegre, is part of the Peneda-Gerês National Park, established in 1971 to protect mountain ecosystems and the agricultural and pastoral heritage. The suspended metal structure, anchored to imposing granite outcrops shaped by millennia of erosion, offers a panoramic view of the Cávado River valley and the surrounding mountain ranges.
